During the Victorian era, circa 1839-1901, a new artistic expression emerged. Leaves, flowers, vines, and other botanical elements were combined with geometric forms in a graceful flare. Furniture, rugs, glassware, wallpaper, and many other decorative accents all reflected this attractive and impressive art. There were many artists of this period, among the most notable were the Audsleys', Morris, Dresser, Klimsch, to name just a few.
These hand painted tiles by Besheer, were inspired by the beautiful
Victorian patterns and Victorian art motifs of the period.
